Not splendid, nor regular

A shy, sweet and yet curious look
Like you wanted to know more
Then you came over
Started to talk to me, just me
Nothing major
And yet you managed
To take my breath away

I remember when you held me
Caring and something special
You held me tight, kept me safe
Soothed my worries
Holding me, just me
Nothing extraordinary
And yet you managed
To take my breath away

I remember when you kissed me
Amazing, sweet and special
Filled with passion
Leaving me on cloud nine
You kissed me, just me
It was special!
It was major!
It was extraordinary!
Fireworks went off

You swept me off my feet
I knew this wasn’t a fairytale
It was real
You said you loved me, just me
Something wonderful was happening
Between me and you, you and me
Something incredible
And yet you managed
To take my breath away

We were together for a short while
Our shared fairytale
Came to an end
Neither of us wanted it to
We were good together, you and me
Simple differences got in the way
